A Rustic Western Adventure

I’ve headed out on another travel adventure across our beautiful country, and it’s time that I get back to telling you all about the amazing places that I’m visiting along the way. Today, I want to tell you about my visit to Colorado and Lower Lake Ranch.

I love visiting the cozy, rustic places in each state that I visit. I think that they give a sense of how life once was, and frankly they are just a relaxing way to spend a vacation.

Lower Lake Ranch was no different. Its cabins and rustic rooms were just what I was looking for. Set in the foothills just west of Denver, it was far enough off the beaten path, but close enough to town that I could find a bite to eat or enjoy the Denver city life.

When I booked my room, it was clear that this is a spot many brides book for their wedding. When I arrived, I could instantly see why. While rustic and charming, there is also a feeling of elegance and sophistication about Lower Lake Ranch.

During my visit to Lower Lake Ranch, I enjoyed all of the activities that they offer their guests.

I tried my hand at fly fishing, took a great trail ride, and hiked around the Ranch, enjoying the Colorado mountain scenery.

On Saturday of my stay, the Ranch was host to a wedding, and it was easy to see why this is a great place to get married. The staff at the Lower Lake Ranch created a beautiful setting next to the small lake on the property for the nuptials, and the main banquet hall was set up for a perfect reception.

I am sure that the happy couple will have amazing pictures with the unique rock formations, and the rustic barns and buildings as their back drop.

I couldn’t have been happier with my stay at the Lower Lake Ranch in Colorado. The beautiful location, perfect rooms, and helpful and friendly staff, made it the perfect stop on my Colorado adventure.
