As our name implies, we place utmost emphasis on the rule of law, particularly as found in our constitutions, state and federal. We love liberty, and we support representatives and candidates who likewise love liberty-- regardless of party. CP Arkansas has, in the past, encouraged its membership to support specific candidates from other parties. And, as you might imagine, many of CP Arkansas' members have joined us after having left the Republican or Democratic parties. CP-Arkansas is a state affiliate of the national Constitution Party which popularized the phrase principles over politics.

Our philosophy at CP-AR is to focus on elections that do not offer voters a respectable alternative-- particularly elections with no alternative at all. For 2010, we do not intend to field any candidates for federal office, opting instead to concentrate on state elections. This philosophy was adopted for several reasons, including as a response to an election system which, in general, punishes voters for the involvement of more than two candidates in a given race. As you can see, splitting votes-- so that less popular candidates end up getting elected-- is not our mode of operation. Instead, we aim to inject competition into the political process precisely where little-to-none exists.

We hope you will find our common-sense approach to politics agreeable and refreshing, and we invite you to join us as we attempt to grab the reins of an out-of-control government. We are looking for people willing to be laborers for liberty, for one another's sake and for the sake of subsequent generations. If you don't pitch in with us, please pitch in somewhere limited government and individual freedom is promoted. We can't afford to fail; together, we will not.
